THE GOOD NEWS!
The Bible tells us that Jesus came to the earth to share the Gospel. What is the Gospel? Briefly, it is this:

God loves each of us! His love for us is perfect and unlike any other. In His love God desires for us to enter into a personal relationship with Him as our loving Father. This relationship makes life worth living.

We have all chosen to live independently from God. Each of us has chosen to usurp the Creator’s right to rule in our lives. We have made ourselves lord of our hearts. This rebellion is what the Bible calls “sin.” God cannot have a relationship with anyone who lives in rebellion against His love and authority to rule in our life. God sent His Son, Jesus, to the earth to pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus’ death was a voluntary act whereby He took the punishment our sins deserved. Now that the just demands of God’s holiness against our sins have been satisfied, God can offer forgiveness of sins to anyone.

We receive God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ. When we, by faith, acknowledge to God that we have sinned, believe that Jesus’ death actually paid the penalty for our sins, and invite Jesus to take control of our life as Lord, God lovingly forgives our sins and receives us into His family.
