Baptist Church Pastoral Ministries |
Cana’s
motto is “A Personal Church with the Time to Care.”
We believe that a church, to be effective, must take seriously
Jesus’ admonition to Peter, “Do you love Me?
Then, tend My lambs.” To provide pastoral care for
those who associate themselves with the Cana fellowship,
we have developed the Care Group Ministry. Each Care Group
is comprised of several households (singles or marrieds)
and a Care Group Leader or couple. Each week the group leaders
contact group members to discover prayer requests or ministry
needs. The Care Group seeks then to minister to these needs.
As necessary, the assistance of other Care Groups, deacons,
or ministers will be solicited to meet ministry needs. In
this way it is our hope that we will be better able to support
one another during those times of crisis and need which
eventually come into each of our lives. Bearing one another’s
burdens becomes a way of life and an expression of Jesus’
love.

Our
church also provides a counseling referral service. These
counselors are trained and certified marriage and family counselors
who serve in local hospitals and clinics. Their services are
made available at a reasonable cost. Many insurance companies
cover such professional counseling services. |
The
church makes available cassette tapes of all worship services
and special events. Our Pastor often provides series of messages
which address the most basic needs of modern families. These
may be purchased through the church office to enhance personal
growth and enrichment. |
